We collect the following information in order to provide and secure the platform:

We do not store biometric information. Government-issued identity numbers (such as South African ID and passport numbers) detected in document text are automatically redacted before the text is sent to our AI provider — but the original document you upload is stored unmodified, so if such a number appears within the document's own content, it remains part of the stored file. This significantly reduces the personal information included in documents sent for analysis. Note that names appearing within document text are not currently automatically detected or removed. We do not store payment card details. Any payment processing is handled by a third-party payment provider, not by Langa directly. If a payment card number happens to appear within an uploaded document's own content, it is stored as part of that document like any other content and is not separately detected or redacted.

We use your information only for purposes related to operating the platform, including:

• Providing document analysis and summaries
• Displaying reminders and important dates
• Managing authentication and account access
• Sending transactional emails
• Preventing fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access
• Enforcing plan usage limits
• Providing customer support
• Improving platform reliability and performance

We do not sell your information, share your information for advertising, or use your documents for marketing purposes.

Langa uses trusted third-party AI providers to process uploaded documents and generate summaries, explanations, reminders, and document insights.

When you upload a document:

• certain personal information detected in your document — see below for exactly what — is automatically removed before any AI processing takes place
• document text is then securely processed through third-party AI infrastructure with that detected information removed
• analysis is performed over encrypted connections
• your uploaded files remain stored securely and are associated only with your private account

Langa uses trusted third-party providers to operate parts of the platform, including cloud infrastructure providers, authentication services, payment processors, email delivery services, and AI processing providers.

These providers may process limited information strictly for the purpose of delivering platform functionality and services on our behalf.

We do not authorize third parties to sell or use your information for unrelated marketing purposes.

Under POPIA, you may have the right to:

To use Langa you must be at least 18 years old, provide accurate account information, and maintain the security of your login credentials.

You are responsible for activity occurring under your account, maintaining password confidentiality, and ensuring your account information remains accurate. Account sharing is not permitted unless explicitly allowed under a supported plan.

• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly
• You may cancel at any time
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• Fees already paid are non-refundable unless required by law

Promotional offers: From time to time we may offer promotional access, free trials, or discounted plans to new or existing users. You agree not to:

• Upload documents you do not have the right to use
• Upload malicious software or harmful files
• Attempt to disrupt or abuse the platform
• Bypass plan limits or restrictions
• Reverse-engineer or scrape the service
• Use automated systems to extract outputs at scale
• Use the platform for unlawful purposes

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts involved in abusive, fraudulent, or unlawful activity.

You retain ownership of all documents you upload to Langa. By uploading content, you grant Langa a limited permission to store, process, analyse, and display your documents solely for the purpose of operating and providing the service.

Langa does not claim ownership over your uploaded documents or generated analysis results. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload the content and that it does not violate applicable laws or third-party rights.

Langa uses artificial intelligence systems to generate summaries, explanations, reminders, and document insights. AI-generated outputs may contain inaccuracies, may omit important information, and may not reflect the latest legal or regulatory developments.

Users should not rely solely on AI-generated outputs when making important legal, financial, employment, property, medical, or business decisions. Professional advice should be obtained where appropriate.

We aim to keep the platform available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation. Certain features may depend on third-party providers and infrastructure outside of our control.

We may modify, suspend, improve, or discontinue parts of the platform from time to time. Planned maintenance or service interruptions may occur periodically.

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Langa and Modise Jasina Projects (Pty) Ltd are not liable for inaccuracies in AI-generated outputs, decisions made based on platform information, interruptions or outages, loss of data beyond reasonable control, indirect or consequential losses, or damages arising from platform use.

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the platform, create security risks, or engage in unlawful activity. Upon termination, account data may be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes relating to the platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
